Hello everyone! I'd like to introduce myself to you. My name is Dawn and I live in North Wales. I am 34, have a twelve year old son and am happily married to Tommy.
I have set up this blog as I'd like to be able to share my experiences of setting up a new business with other people who are in my position and hear about other peoples experiences and thoughts.
I'd like to keep on online diary for my own purpose - it can be so frustrating sometimes starting a new business and this may be the perfect vent for me to let off some steam! I hope to be able to share my frustrations and also my successes as they come along.
I am currently in the process of setting up a business in partnership with my younger sister Gemma (who incedently is in Bulgaria sunning herself at the moment, something wrong there!?!). We do makeover and design parties in our local area of the North Wales coast and are in the process of setting up an online store, currently hosted on ebay.
I have always wanted to own my own business and work for myself and am in the perfect position now as I have a great deal of skills that I have learnt along the years. Last year I set up and managed a successful nursing agency on behalf of a previous employer and that gave me the confidence to take the plunge and go it alone. That and the support of my long suffering husband and the extra support of my parents. I can't forget to mention my lovely son who is extremely understanding too! I took the plunge, handed in my notice at New Year and finished my full time management position 4 months later and that's where my story begins.
