Hello. I mentioned in my last post that we'd been having a busy time of it and part of that has involved Gemma and I adopting three homeless kittens between us. Gemma's are the two in the picture. I'll take a picture of mine as soon as he keeps still for long enough! The little grey one in the picture is a girl kitten called Belle and the white and black one is a boy called Xabi. Xabi is blind in one eye. My kitten is grey and white and is called Rocco. He is having an identity crisis and seriously thinks he's a scarf - hope his crisis lasts through the winter, he'll come in handy, in fact he's wrapped around my neck as I write. In typical Makeover Mates style they are all wearing funky flower bead collars that I've made - pink and purple for Belle and green and blue for Xabi and Rocco. We're going to start selling the cat collar bracelets in the shop www.stores.ebay.co.uk/Makeover-Mates to see if we can start a new cat trend! (and we've also got some lovely new key rings / bag charms in the shop so check them out).
Apart from having a busy weekend controlling our kittens we have been partying. Our T shirt parties were popular last week and at the weekend - there are some budding fashion designers amongst the Makeover Mates and guests I'm sure. Thank you once again to all of the girls at the parties for being so good. As well as partying Makeover Mates style I also partied separately with my husband as we celebrated our first wedding anniversary. We had a brilliant time and for once I've nothing hysterical to write about our outing - it all went smoothly. He softened the shock of having to live with me and my announcement that we were having a new kitten (we've already got 2 cats) by going off out and buying himself a new car so now he thinks he's got a new shiny red wife as he's spent more time outside than in! We went off to the pics yesterday to watch Nacho Libre (v.funny). To soften the shock of having to spend the afternoon with mum and Tom our Dan went out and bought and built himself a tardis - not sure when his Timelord stint is about to begin but I hope he takes me and Rocco on some journeys with him - sounds like fun! I may be able to introduce Makeover Mates parties to other worlds! Remember to check out the Makeover Mates website at www.makeovermates.co.uk for more info on parties and how to get in touch with us, we love getting your emails by the way so keep them coming! We'll write soon, Dawn and Gem xx
