Robbie Williams wants to be a Makeover Mate
Hello all! Well it's been another hectic weekend around here and it's not over yet - We're partying again later at Michelle's son Bens 10th birthday party. He's a very cool boy and decided to hold his party at the bowling alley. All the family want to say a big happy birthday to Ben but a big special happy birthday hug comes from me as he's my special God son. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Ben - hope you win the bowling!!
As I mentioned it's been a hectic weekend involving partying and taking bookings and also my little jaunt to Leeds to see Robbie Williams in concert. A big thank you to Makeover Mate Michelle for standing in for me yesterday, as usual she did a brilliant job and we're ever so grateful. Not only did she stand in for me at the parties but she also did a last minute dye session on my hair on Friday night and did another fab job - is there no end to this woman's talents!? The diary is beginning to fill up again now for September so if anyone wants to book a party please do so soon to ensure your date.
Now, if you read Friday's blog entry you will know that Leah and I went off to Leeds to see Robbie in the hope that we could capture him and make him a Makeover Mate to entertain guests at the parties. Well actually, that was my plan not Leah's but heigh ho she was in on the plan. I am pleased to announce that rather than be able to kidnap Robbie and bring him home the tale has a strange twist to it. You see, he was in the middle of the gig and (I've been told that this section was cut out of the televised live performance) was just about to finish singing Rudebox when he spotted our Leah in her pink, furry cowboy hat and that was it - the man was in love. He simply had to get to her and he launched himself off the stage and scrambled his way through the crowd to her. He pulled her back on to the stage with him and serenaded her with a fabulous performance of Angels (also untelevised). Up to this point Leah was delighted, the crowd were going mad and all was going well. On stage Leah was starting to notice all was not well close up on Robbie's face so decided to take a closer look. She leant forward to kiss him and realised that he tasted of rubber and that his face was rather loose - with one swift tug she pulled off his face which transpired was a mask and, who was underneath it all but her hubby / my brother Lee! She was flabbergasted as were the crowd. Leah had noticed over the last few years that Lee spent an awful long time practicing on the karaoke machine and was sometimes away for long patches of time (which usually coincided with Robbie tours strangely enough). Lee had been Robbie all along and had been doing it all to earn enough money to feed and clothe the ever growing family and to be able to invest in his Liverpool season ticket and a new rather larger than average everything. Larger than average car, larger than average garden etc etc. "Leah, I love you he said - I've been suffering and leading a double life for years, I even had to go through those years with Take That for you and I can't even dance, dancing with LuLu of all people (although the Kylie bit wasn't too much of a strain) - will you forgive me if I buy you a larger than average beer later on?" "Ooh yes said Leah, take me to the bar" and that was that. In order to secure the monies from the concert Lee put his mask back on and completed the concert to the raptuous applause of the adoring crowd. I had been watching this true love story unfold before my eyes with great delight and wondered where Tommy had gone as he was supposed to be in the pub with Lee, I remember thinking to myself, I hope he's not gone off with Chris Moyles again , those two are real trouble when they get together. All of a sudden I thought Robbie's drummer's hands looked a little familiar so I scrabbled through the crowd to check it out. Once on stage I approached the drummer slowly then I realised that it must be Tom - there is only one man in the world who would wear a badge that said "I LOVE MY AUDI- I'M BLESSED". I pulled off his mask and realised that Tom had been drumming for Robbie, or Lee as he now was, all these years. I was shocked but pleased, it was very exciting. He explained that he'd been doing it to pay for his addiction to fast cars and dodgy baseball caps. We all went back stage and had a big laugh about everything that had happened and went home in Lee's helicopter. It was brilliant. The story is that as Lee / Robbie is already a certified honourary Makeover Mate we didn't have to kidnap him and he will attend any party with the karaoke machine if required.
Hope you all enjoyed my little tale - please don't think I'm crazy, the situation was well out of my control!! Have fun as usual and I will be back on soon if I have any other news - we may possibly find out that my mum has been Madonna all along!!! Dawn xx
