I'm Still Partying!!!

Hi everyone! My goodness have I been busy this weekend. Yesterday I attended four parties, two Makeover Mates parties, our niece Lauren's party at the bowling alley and my hubby Tom's party out in town last night. Now I know I love partying but by the end of it I was wondering if it was ever going to end, I felt like I was trapped in an eternal partying cycle!! Actually it was brilliant and one of the best days I've had for a very long time. Our first Makeover Mates party was a bag making party and we got to make the bags outside with the girls because the weather was absolutely perfect. We bought the party girl - she was only five - a bag of pink Birthday Girls balloons and started to blow them up but I think we must have had a dodgy batch because they started to pop really loudly and the little girls cried, I felt dreadful. After lots of giggling at the foot scrubs and having their make up done beautifully the girls all sat down to a lovely PINK buffet that the party girl's mum had made - lovely. The second Makeover Mates party of the day was lovely, the girls were all older and it was very much a chilled out affair. Thank you Lauren for asking us to do the party for you, it was a pleasure. Also, thanks Michelle for the pizza, it was yummy!!! A message for Ben and Daniel - SO GLAD YOU TOOK THE BLACK NAIL VARNISH OFF BOYS BUT NEXT TIME I'M GOING TO GET YOU AND PUT EYELINER ON YOU BOTH - BEWARE!! Tom and I had a really lovely jaunt out last night. I would just like to say a huge Happy Birthday to him. He's not keen on his birthday as anyone who knows him will know, the reason being is that he still wants to apply for the next position of Peter Pan. He deserves to have a lovely birthday for the way he looks after me and Dan xxxx. Today we decided to celebrate his birthday with a barbeque by a lake. Weather was great,so the three of us loaded up the car and drove to our intended destination- no parking and huge crowds so we decided to move on. Second intended destination was the same problem so third time lucky we decided to go where no one else would be, strange logic, they're obviously not there for a reason are they? We parked up by yet another lake and had to climb down a hill to get to the edge of the water, well, ok then, not a hill, a slope but it felt like a mountain in my flip flops. Of course I squealed a lot which is quite normal for me in the countryside. As we got closer to the edge of the lake the ground turned in to a marsh and they nearly lost me, I was nearly sucked in. I was only saved by my sheer determination that I was going to get a sausage in a bun(oh and some warm lemonade and some pringles, I'll never let Tom shop for barbeque food again). We pitched up at the side of the lake on some very sharp rocks. The sun went in so I had to wear one of Tom's smelly and dirty climbing coats in multi coloured shiny fabric - wow, I looked so cool. The actual barbeque went very well. However, Tom and Daniel dispute the existence of river fleas which I'm convinced were sugar rushing in my lemonade, we must have been in the coldest and most uncomfortable spot in Wales and I looked like a complete geek. Of course, Tom being the Indiana Jones explorer that he is had a wild time. I think Daniel was neutral about the whole thing. We did have fun though - those two particularly liked watching me climb back up the mountain to the car in my flip flops, especially the bit where I slid out of them, and horrid coat complaining about the grass!!! Weekend partying over now we are just chillin here at home this evening - Tom is watching another RUBBISH movie which in his typical way he describes as a classic, yes Tom a classic pile of trash! Daniel seems to have been exchanged without me knowing for another child as he has decided to clean the house - what's going on in my world??? I'll write soon, Love Dawn x
